Geography of Ancient Greece
Greece is located on Europe, on the Ionian Peninsula. The Aegean Sea borders it to the east, the Ionian Sea borders it to the west, and the Mediterranean Sea borders it to the south. Some of the countries that border it are Albania, Macedonia, Bulgaria, and Turkey. Three of the largest island are Rhodes, Crete, and Cyprus. The center of Greece has many mountains which caused many city-states to pop up everywhere. One of the mountains, Mount. Olympus, was said that the gods lived there.
